How to grow Strawberry 'Florida Radiance'

Since this variety is highly susceptible to crown and root rot caused by Phytophthora cactorum, it is highly recommended they be treated, soon after establishment, with “Ridomil Gold” which should be injected through the drip tape. As an alternative, products containing potassium phosphate or potassium salts of phosphorus acid should be applied as foliar sprays, although some are labeled also for drip application. Since this last group are not curable, multiple applications may be needed beginning immediately after plants are established.1

Try to plant in a location that enjoys full sun and remember to water moderately. Florida Radiance is generally regarded as a hardy plant, so it can be safe to leave outdoors for the majority of winter (although if in doubt, using a row cover is often a good idea).
