Daucus carota subsp. sativus
Very broad and short root. Orange-red colour throughout. Sweet and tender. Suited to heavy soils. This heirloom grows 5-7 inch roots in 65-75 days. Stores all winter in a root cellar. Short and thick roots that have a golden orange color and taper to a blunt end.
