How to grow Radish 'Rego'

  • Full Sun

  • Medium

Try to plant in a location that enjoys full sun and remember to water moderately. Keep in mind when planting that Rego is thought of as half hardy, so remember to protect this plant from frosts and low temperatures. Rego needs a loamy, clay and sandy soil with a ph of 5.5 to 6.8 (weakly acidic soil).

Growing Rego from seed

Try to aim for a seed spacing of at least 0.99 inches (2.54 cm) and sow at a depth of around 0.47 inches (1.2 cm). Soil temperature should be kept higher than 13°C / 55°F to ensure good germination.

By our calculations, you should look at sowing Rego about 28 days before your last frost date.

Transplanting Rego

Ensure that temperatures are mild and all chance of frost has passed before planting out, as Rego is a half hardy plant.
