Watermelon 'Small shining'

Keep in mind when planting that Small shining is thought of as tender, so remember to wait until your soil is warm and the night time temperature is well above freezing before moving outside.

Start indoors 4 weeks before transplanting out.

Sow seeds outdoors in 12" diameter hills after danger of frost has passed and soil has warmed. Space hills 8’ apart in all directions.

Ensure that temperatures are mild and all chance of frost has passed before planting out, as Small shining is a tender plant.
