The clumps may be divided in order to grow in different places in the garden.

Try to plant in a location that enjoys full sun and remember to water moderately. Keep in mind when planting that Mauve is thought of as hardy, so this plant will survive close to or on freezing temperatures. Planting Mauve in loamy soil with a ph of between 6.0 and 7.0 is ideal for as it does best in weakly acidic soil to neutral soil.

Growing Mauve from seed

Try to aim for a seed spacing of at least 3.9 inches (10.0 cm) and sow at a depth of around 0.58 inches (1.5 cm). Soil temperature should be kept higher than 18°C / 64°F to ensure good germination.

Transplanting Mauve

As Mauve is hardy, ensure temperatures are mild enough to plant out - wait until after your last frost date to be on the safe side.

Harvesting Mauve

This variety tends to be ready for harvesting by mid spring.
