Onion 'Valencia'

Valencia likes a position of full sun and remember to water moderately. Keep in mind when planting that Valencia is thought of as very hardy, so this plant will tend to survive through freezing conditions. Planting Valencia in loamy, clay and sandy soil with a ph of between 6.0 and 7.0 is ideal for as it does best in weakly acidic soil to neutral soil.

Sow 0.98 inches (2.5 cm) deep with a guideline distance of 1.95 inches (5.0 cm). Soil temperature should be kept higher than 13°C / 55°F to ensure good germination.
