Allamanda does not like shade, salty or alkaline soils. Highly sensitive to frost, allamanda is otherwise undemanding. Allamanda can be propagated by cuttings and very infrequently the plant produces a seed pod. The seed pod is oval shaped and prickly.
If grown as a vine it must be trained to climb as it does not have tendrils.1
These estimates for how long Allamanda cathartica takes to sprout, grow and harvest are from real observations from real gardeners, right around the world.
