Carrot 'Dutch'

Try to plant in a location that enjoys full sun and remember to water often. Keep in mind when planting that Dutch is thought of as very hardy, so this plant will tend to go dormant over the long winter months. Planting Dutch in loamy and sandy soil with a ph of between 6.0 and 6.5 is ideal for as it does best in weakly acidic soil.

Aim to sow 0.23 inches (0.6 cm) deep and try to ensure a gap of at least 0.39 inches (1.0 cm). Soil temperature should be kept higher than 16°C / 61°F to ensure good germination.

As Dutch is very hardy, ensure temperatures are mild enough to plant out - wait until after your last frost date to be on the safe side.
