Carrot 'French'

Try to plant in a location that enjoys full sun and remember to water often. French is generally regarded as a very hardy plant, so this plant will tend to go dormant over the long winter months. French needs a loamy and sandy soil with a ph of 6.0 to 6.5 (weakly acidic soil).

Aim to sow 0.23 inches (0.6 cm) deep and try to ensure a gap of at least 0.39 inches (1.0 cm). For optimal germination, soil temperature should be a minimum of 16°C / 61°F.

French is very hardy, so ensure you wait until all danger of frost has passed in your area before considering planting outside.
