Try to plant in a location that enjoys full sun and remember to water often. Keep in mind when planting that Gonsenheimer is thought of as very hardy, so this plant will typically do well in a variety of different extremes of cold temperature. Planting Gonsenheimer in loamy and sandy soil with a ph of between 6.0 and 6.5 is ideal for as it does best in weakly acidic soil.

Sow at a depth of approx. 0.23 inches (0.6 cm) and aim for a distance of at least 0.39 inches (1.0 cm) between Carrot plants. Soil temperature should be kept higher than 16°C / 61°F to ensure good germination.
