  • Full Sun

  • Medium

Try to plant in a location that enjoys full sun and remember to water moderately. Soleil needs a soil ph of 5.6 to 7.5 (weakly acidic soil - weakly alkaline soil).

Growing Soleil from seed

Sow in Mid April to early June, 20 mm deep in 7cm pots or cells. Place in a propagator at 20C – 25C until germination. Or can be sown outdoors into warm soil from May.

Try to aim for a seed spacing of at least 2.92 feet (90.0 cm) and sow at a depth of around 0.99 inches (2.54 cm). For optimal germination, soil temperature should be a minimum of 15°C / 59°F.

By our calculations, you should look at sowing Soleil about 42 days before your last frost date.

Soleil is tender, so ensure you wait until all danger of frost has passed in your area before considering planting outside.

By our calculations, you should look at planting out Soleil about 14 days after your last frost date.
