How to grow Curly leaf parsley 'Triple Curled'

  • Partial Sun

  • Medium

Try to plant in a location that enjoys partial sun and remember to water moderately. Keep in mind when planting that Triple Curled is thought of as half hardy, so although it can survive a small mild cold snap, it is wise to ensure that this plant is protected from frost damage. Ideally plant in loamy soil and try to keep the ph of your soil between the range of 5.6 and 6.0 as Triple Curled likes to be in weakly acidic soil.

Growing Triple Curled from seed

Soak in warm water for 24 hours before planting. Sow seeds outside when there is still a chance of light frost or start seeds earlier and set out as small plants. Seeds germinate in 14-21 days. 1

Sow 0.25 inches (0.64 cm) deep with a guideline distance of 0.98 inches (2.5 cm). Soil temperature should be kept higher than 10°C / 50°F to ensure good germination.

By our calculations, you should look at sowing Triple Curled about 35 days before your last frost date.

Transplanting Triple Curled

Prefers full sun to partial shade and well-drained, rich soil. 1

Ensure that temperatures are mild and all chance of frost has passed before planting out, as Triple Curled is a half hardy plant.

Harvesting Triple Curled

This variety tends to be ready for harvesting by early summer.
