A full sun position will ensure your plant thrives and remember to water moderately. Keep in mind when planting that Persian Jewels is thought of as hardy, so this plant will survive close to or on freezing temperatures. Planting Persian Jewels in loamy, potting mix and clay soil with a ph of between 6.6 and 7.5 is ideal for as it does best in weakly acidic soil to weakly alkaline soil.

By our calculations, you should look at sowing Persian Jewels about 14 days before your last frost date.

Sow in early spring where they are to flower in well cultivated soil. Sow thinly 3mm (1/8") deep. Thin out seedlings to 23 cm (9") apart. Prefers sunny open site.¹

As Persian Jewels is hardy, ensure temperatures are mild enough to plant out - wait until after your last frost date to be on the safe side.
