A dappled sun position will ensure your plant thrives and remember to water often. Key West is generally regarded as a hardy plant, so it can be safe to leave outdoors for the majority of winter (although if in doubt, using a row cover is often a good idea). Key West needs a soil ph of 5.6 to 7.5 (weakly acidic soil - weakly alkaline soil).
