Plant in a location that enjoys full sun and remember to water moderately. Keep in mind when planting that Christopher is thought of as half hardy, so remember to watch your frost dates and ensure you have this plant protected when the temperature dips. Christopher tends to grow best in a soil ph of between 6.7 and 7.0 meaning it does best in weakly acidic soil - neutral soil.

Ensure a distance of 7.02 inches (18.0 cm) between seeds when sowing - look to sow at a depth of approximately 4.29 inches (11.0 cm).

Ensure that temperatures are mild (minimum night temperatures should be around 2°C / 36°F) and all chance of frost has passed before planting out, as Christopher is a half hardy plant.

This variety tends to be ready for harvesting by mid summer.
