Keep in mind when planting that Friendship is thought of as half hardy, so it will need cloching or fleece protection when the temperature dips. Friendship requires a soil ph of 6.7 - 7.0 meaning it does best in weakly acidic soil - neutral soil.

Look to ensure a distance 7.02 inches (18.0 cm) between seeds when sowing - bury at a depth of at least 4.29 inches (11.0 cm) deep.

Ensure that temperatures are mild (minimum night temperatures should be around 2°C / 36°F) and all chance of frost has passed before planting out, as Friendship is a half hardy plant.

Expect harvests to start to occur in mid summer.
