Garden Gladiolus 'Plum Tart'

Try to plant in a location that enjoys full sun and remember to water moderately. Keep in mind when planting that Plum Tart is thought of as half hardy, so it will need cloching or fleece protection when the temperature dips. Ensure your soil has a ph of between 6.7 and 7.0 as Plum Tart is a weakly acidic soil - neutral soil loving plant.

Look to ensure a distance 7.02 inches (18.0 cm) between seeds when sowing - bury at a depth of at least 4.29 inches (11.0 cm) deep.

Ensure that temperatures are mild (minimum night temperatures should be around 2°C / 36°F) and all chance of frost has passed before planting out, as Plum Tart is a half hardy plant.

This variety tends to be ready for harvesting by mid summer.
