How to grow Garden Gladiolus 'Veronica'
Try to plant in a location that enjoys full sun and remember to water moderately. Keep in mind when planting that Veronica is thought of as half hardy, so it will require protection in frosts and low temperatures. A soil ph of between 6.7 and 7.0 is ideal for Veronica as it does best in weakly acidic soil - neutral soil.
Growing Veronica from seed
Sow at a depth of approx. 4.29 inches (11.0 cm) and aim for a distance of at least 7.02 inches (18.0 cm) between Garden Gladiolus plants.
Transplanting Veronica
As Veronica is half hardy, ensure temperatures are mild enough to plant out (around 2°C / 36°F as a guideline) - wait until after your last frost date to be on the safe side.
Harvesting Veronica
This variety tends to be ready for harvesting by mid summer.
