How to grow Garden Gladiolus 'Oscar'
Try to plant in a location that enjoys full sun and remember to water moderately. Keep in mind when planting that Oscar is thought of as half hardy, so it will need cloching or fleece protection when the temperature dips. Oscar tends to grow best in a soil ph of between 6.7 and 7.0 meaning it does best in weakly acidic soil - neutral soil.
Growing Oscar from seed
Look to ensure a distance 7.02 inches (18.0 cm) between seeds when sowing - bury at a depth of at least 4.29 inches (11.0 cm) deep.
Transplanting Oscar
Ensure that temperatures are mild (minimum night temperatures should be around 2°C / 36°F) and all chance of frost has passed before planting out, as Oscar is a half hardy plant.
Harvesting Oscar
This variety tends to be ready for harvesting by mid summer.
