How to grow Sweet pepper 'Gloria'

  • Full Sun

  • Medium

Try to plant in a location that enjoys full sun and remember to water moderately. Keep in mind when planting that Gloria is thought of as tender, so remember to wait until your soil is warm and the night time temperature is well above freezing before moving outside. Gloria needs a potting mix, loamy and silty soil with a ph of 5.5 to 7.5 (weakly acidic soil to weakly alkaline soil).

Growing Gloria from seed

Try to aim for a seed spacing of at least 0.98 inches (2.5 cm) and sow at a depth of around 0.25 inches (0.64 cm). Soil temperature should be kept higher than 20°C / 68°F to ensure good germination.

By our calculations, you should look at sowing Gloria about 60 days before your last frost date.

Transplanting Gloria

Ensure that temperatures are mild and all chance of frost has passed before planting out, as Gloria is a tender plant.
