Enjoys a full sun position in your garden and remember to water moderately. Keep in mind when planting that Royal Carpet is thought of as very hardy, so this plant will tend to survive through freezing conditions. Planting Royal Carpet in loamy, sandy and potting mix soil with a ph of between 5.6 and 7.5 is ideal for as it does best in weakly acidic soil to weakly alkaline soil.

Try to aim for a seed spacing of at least 0.98 inches (2.5 cm) and sow at a depth of around 0.39 inches (1.0 cm). Soil temperature should be kept higher than 13°C / 55°F to ensure good germination.
