Try to plant in a location that enjoys full sun and remember to water moderately. Keep in mind when planting that Violet queen is thought of as half hardy, so remember to protect this plant from frosts and low temperatures.

Growing Violet queen from seed

Can be sown directing flowering position.
Sow thinly in rows 15cm apart, cover only lightly,firm and keep moist. Seedling appear in 14 to 28 days. Thin to 15cm

Can be started inside in late winter early spring
Sow onto compost filled trays, rows 15cm apart. Cover only lightly, firm and keep moist. Cover with perspex or glass keep at 10 to 15 C
When seedlings emerge transplant to 5cm apart in trays and grow on gradually hardening off before planting out in final flowering position after danger of frost has past

Soil temperature should be kept higher than 10°C / 50°F to ensure good germination.
