Spinach 'Giant 157 Hybrid'

Sow in average soil in early spring or late summer. Sow seeds thinly and cover with 1/2" soil. Firm lightly. Thin seedlings when plants are 2-3" high. ¹

Try to plant in a location that enjoys full sun and remember to apply water fairly sparingly. Keep in mind when planting that Giant 157 Hybrid is thought of as half hardy, so remember to watch your frost dates and ensure you have this plant protected when the temperature dips. Giant 157 Hybrid requires a loamy soil with a ph of 6.0 - 7.0 - it grows best in weakly acidic soil to neutral soil.

Ensure a distance of 3.12 inches (8.0 cm) between seeds when sowing - look to sow at a depth of approximately 0.49 inches (1.25 cm). Soil temperature should be kept higher than 8°C / 46°F to ensure good germination.
