Spinacia oleracea

How to grow Spinach 'Regatta'

  • Full Sun

  • Low

Try to plant in a location that enjoys full sun and remember to apply water fairly sparingly. Keep in mind when planting that Regatta is thought of as half hardy, so it will need cloching or fleece protection when the temperature dips. Ensure your soil is loamy and has a ph of between 6.0 and 7.0 as Spinach is a weakly acidic soil to neutral soil loving plant.

Growing Regatta from seed

Look to ensure a distance 3.12 inches (8.0 cm) between seeds when sowing - bury at a depth of at least 0.49 inches (1.25 cm) deep. Soil temperature should be kept higher than 8°C / 46°F to ensure good germination.

By our calculations, you should look at sowing Regatta about 60 days before your last frost date.

Transplanting Regatta

Ensure that temperatures are mild (minimum night temperatures should be around 0°C / 32°F) and all chance of frost has passed before planting out, as Regatta is a half hardy plant.
