Wicklow Hills folklore & trivia

My mother had this daff growing wildly in our garden in the Wicklow Mountains area of Ireland. It was unnamed and she took it to a daff expert in the UK and met up with him when we went to the Chelsea Flower Show in London together. He was at R A Scamp. He confirmed it was unamed and asked her would she like it named after her! She declined that but named it Wicklow Hills – she was too embarassed to call it after herself. So to me it is Wicklow Hills Audrey Edwina!
