Grow in full sun in a rich well drained soil prepare soil with a complete plant food and compost, best if grown quickly liquid feed regular.

Plant in a location that enjoys full sun and remember to water moderately. Keep in mind when planting that Perpetual Green is thought of as very hardy, so this plant will tend to survive through freezing conditions. Ensure your soil is loamy and clay and has a ph of between 6.1 and 7.5 as Chard is a weakly acidic soil to weakly alkaline soil loving plant.

Growing Perpetual Green from seed

Try to aim for a seed spacing of at least 7.8 inches (20.0 cm) and sow at a depth of around 0.47 inches (1.2 cm). Soil temperature should be kept higher than 10°C / 50°F to ensure good germination.
