Try to plant in a location that enjoys partial sun and remember to water often. Keep in mind when planting that Formidana is thought of as tender, so it is really important to ensure that the outside temperature is well above freezing before planting or moving outdoors. Formidana requires a loamy soil with a ph of 5.8 - 6.8 - it grows best in weakly acidic soil.

Growing Formidana from seed

Look to ensure a distance 7.8 inches (20.0 cm) between seeds when sowing - bury at a depth of at least 0.27 inches (0.7 cm) deep. Soil temperature should be kept higher than 5°C / 41°F to ensure good germination.

Transplanting Formidana

Ensure that temperatures are mild and all chance of frost has passed before planting out, as Formidana is a tender plant.
