  • Full Sun

  • Low

Try to plant in a location that enjoys full sun and remember to apply water fairly sparingly. Keep in mind when planting that Lucy is thought of as hardy, so this plant will survive close to or on freezing temperatures. Ideally plant in sandy soil and try to keep the ph of your soil between the range of 6.0 and 7.0 as Lucy likes to be in weakly acidic soil to neutral soil.

Growing Lucy from seed

Look to ensure a distance 11.7 inches (30.0 cm) between Lucy seeds when sowing to make sure your seedlings have enough space. Soil temperature should be kept higher than 21°C / 70°F to ensure good germination.

By our calculations, you should look at sowing Lucy about 42 days before your last frost date.

Transplanting Lucy

Ensure that temperatures are mild and all chance of frost has passed before planting out, as Lucy is a hardy plant.
