Keep in mind when planting that Nagano is thought of as tender, so it is imperative to wait until temperatures are mild before planting out of doors.

Germination: Easy germination. Start indoors 2-4 weeks prior to last spring frost. Sow seed in container on good seed starting mix. Cover seeds lightly with mix. Moisten mix and keep mix moist until germination begins. Place container in a location at 70°F. Germination should begin in 6-10 days. Does not do well direct sown to garden location.

Soil temperature should be kept higher than 68°C / 154°F to ensure good germination.
