How to grow Nasturtium 'Cobra'

Pull off old flower heads to restrict seed development, and promote more buds. Easily self seeds

Try to plant in a location that enjoys full sun and remember to water moderately. Keep in mind when planting that Cobra is thought of as tender, so remember to wait until your soil is warm and the night time temperature is well above freezing before moving outside.

Growing Cobra from seed

Very easy from seed, sow direct into a sunny, well drained spot

Try to aim for a seed spacing of at least 11.7 inches (30.0 cm) and sow at a depth of around 0.39 inches (1.0 cm). Soil temperature should be kept higher than 12°C / 54°F to ensure good germination.

Transplanting Cobra

Sow direct.
Can be used in pots and containers

Ensure that temperatures are mild (minimum night temperatures should be around 12°C / 54°F) and all chance of frost has passed before planting out, as Cobra is a tender plant.

Harvesting Cobra

The flowers are good for cutting for the house and a reasonably long lived in a vase
The petals are used as a spicy addition to salads

Expect harvests to start to occur in late summer.
