Position in a full sun location and remember to water moderately. Keep in mind when planting that Hot & Spicy is thought of as tender, so it is really important to plant out well after your last frost date. Ideally plant in loamy and sandy soil and try to keep the ph of your soil between the range of 7.0 and 8.5 as Hot & Spicy likes to be in neutral soil to weakly alkaline soil.

Sow at a depth of approx. 0.2 inches (0.5 cm) and aim for a distance of at least 1.95 inches (5.0 cm) between Chili pepper plants. Soil temperature should be kept higher than 18°C / 64°F to ensure good germination.

Transplant out when all danger of frost has passed.

Ensure that temperatures are mild and all chance of frost has passed before planting out, as Hot & Spicy is a tender plant.

This variety tends to be ready for harvesting by late summer.
