How to grow Chili pepper 'Kim-chi'
Try to plant in a location that enjoys full sun and remember to water moderately. Keep in mind when planting that Kim-chi is thought of as half hardy, so it will need protecting in periods of cold weather. Planting Kim-chi in loamy and sandy soil with a ph of between 7.0 and 8.5 is ideal for as it does best in neutral soil to weakly alkaline soil.
Growing Kim-chi from seed
Aim to sow 0.2 inches (0.5 cm) deep and try to ensure a gap of at least 1.95 inches (5.0 cm). Soil temperature should be kept higher than 18°C / 64°F to ensure good germination.
Transplanting Kim-chi
As Kim-chi is half hardy, ensure temperatures are mild enough to plant out - wait until after your last frost date to be on the safe side.
