Try to plant in a location that enjoys full sun and remember to water moderately. Ho chi minh is generally regarded as a half hardy plant, so although it can survive a small mild cold snap, it is wise to ensure that this plant is protected from frost damage. Ho chi minh needs a loamy and sandy soil with a ph of 7.0 to 8.5 (neutral soil to weakly alkaline soil).

Sow 0.2 inches (0.5 cm) deep with a guideline distance of 1.95 inches (5.0 cm). For optimal germination, soil temperature should be a minimum of 18°C / 64°F.

Ho chi minh is half hardy, so ensure you wait until all danger of frost has passed in your area before considering planting outside.
