How to grow Pea 'Epic'

  • Partial Sun

  • Very High

Try to plant in a location that enjoys partial sun and remember to water very often. Keep in mind when planting that Epic is thought of as half hardy, so it will require protection in frosts and low temperatures. Ideally plant in loamy soil and try to keep the ph of your soil between the range of 5.5 and 6.5 as Epic likes to be in weakly acidic soil.

Growing Epic from seed

Sow at a depth of approx. 0.99 inches (2.54 cm) and aim for a distance of at least 2.97 inches (7.62 cm) between Pea plants. Soil temperature should be kept higher than 4°C / 39°F to ensure good germination.

By our calculations, you should look at sowing Epic about 35 days before your last frost date.

Transplanting Epic

Ensure that temperatures are mild and all chance of frost has passed before planting out, as Epic is a half hardy plant.
