Pea 'Eclipse'

Pisum sativum

How to grow Pea 'Eclipse'

  • Partial Sun

  • Very High

Try to plant in a location that enjoys partial sun and remember to water very often. Keep in mind when planting that Eclipse is thought of as half hardy, so protect with a row cover whenever the temperatures drop. Eclipse needs a loamy soil with a ph of 5.5 to 6.5 (weakly acidic soil).

Growing Eclipse from seed

Try to aim for a seed spacing of at least 2.97 inches (7.62 cm) and sow at a depth of around 0.99 inches (2.54 cm). Soil temperature should be kept higher than 4°C / 39°F to ensure good germination.

By our calculations, you should look at sowing Eclipse about 35 days before your last frost date.

Transplanting Eclipse

Ensure that temperatures are mild and all chance of frost has passed before planting out, as Eclipse is a half hardy plant.
