Pea 'Captain'

Try to plant in a location that enjoys partial sun and remember to water very often. Keep in mind when planting that Captain is thought of as half hardy, so it will need protecting in periods of cold weather. Planting Captain in loamy soil with a ph of between 5.5 and 6.5 is ideal for as it does best in weakly acidic soil.

Aim to sow 0.99 inches (2.54 cm) deep and try to ensure a gap of at least 2.97 inches (7.62 cm). Soil temperature should be kept higher than 4°C / 39°F to ensure good germination.

As Captain is half hardy, ensure temperatures are mild enough to plant out - wait until after your last frost date to be on the safe side.
