Try to plant in a location that enjoys partial sun and remember to water very often. Keep in mind when planting that Dalmation is thought of as half hardy, so remember to protect this plant from frosts and low temperatures. Dalmation requires a loamy soil with a ph of 5.5 - 6.5 - it grows best in weakly acidic soil.

Try to aim for a seed spacing of at least 2.97 inches (7.62 cm) and sow at a depth of around 0.99 inches (2.54 cm). Soil temperature should be kept higher than 4°C / 39°F to ensure good germination.
