How to grow Giant white arum lily 'Marshmallow'

They are not completely hardy, and need a protection of a deep mulch from the autumn when the leaves die back, in order to survive the winter.

Try to plant in a location that enjoys dappled sun and remember to water moderately. Marshmallow is generally regarded as a hardy plant, so this plant will grow or become dormant during the winter.

Growing Marshmallow from seed

Presoak seeds in water for 24 hours prior to planting and then surface sow into a peaty subtrate. Keep damp not wet, may take up to 3 months to germinate at 20C

For optimal germination, soil temperature should be a minimum of 20°C / 68°F.

Transplanting Marshmallow

Plant out under protection as the plants grow and then place in their final position when well established. They prefer dappled shade

Marshmallow is hardy, so ensure you wait until all danger of frost has passed in your area before considering planting outside.
