Winter squash 'Aspen'

Plant in a location that enjoys full sun and remember to water moderately. Keep in mind when planting that Aspen is thought of as tender, so remember to wait until your soil is warm and the night time temperature is well above freezing before moving outside. Ensure your soil has a ph of between 6.1 and 7.5 as Aspen is a weakly acidic soil - weakly alkaline soil loving plant.

Try to aim for a seed spacing of at least 2.28 feet (70.0 cm) and sow at a depth of around 1.17 inches (3.0 cm). Soil temperature should be kept higher than 21°C / 70°F to ensure good germination.

Ensure that temperatures are mild and all chance of frost has passed before planting out, as Aspen is a tender plant.
