Winter squash 'Crown Prince'

Try to plant in a location that enjoys full sun and remember to water moderately. Keep in mind when planting that Crown Prince is thought of as tender, so remember to wait until your soil is warm and the night time temperature is well above freezing before moving outside. A soil ph of between 6.1 and 7.5 is ideal for Crown Prince as it does best in weakly acidic soil - weakly alkaline soil.

Sow 1.17 inches (3.0 cm) deep with a guideline distance of 2.28 feet (70.0 cm). Soil temperature should be kept higher than 21°C / 70°F to ensure good germination.

As Crown Prince is tender, ensure temperatures are mild enough to plant out - wait until after your last frost date to be on the safe side.
