Belonging to the Cucurbita genus (Cucurbita pepo var. pepo 'Small Sugar'), Small Sugar is a variety of Pumpkin. Small Sugar is a variety of heirloom OP Pumpkin . Blooms appear in these approximate colours:   Electric yellow. Leaves appear approximately as a   Office Green colour.

This C. pepo variety produces 4-6 fruits, and the vines spread 10’ or more. Each fruit is 5-8 lbs, and “its smooth, creamy flesh is bright orange and quite sweet.” Amazingly good fresh, but also does well canned or frozen.1
