How to grow Cauliflower 'Early pearl'

  • Full Sun

  • Medium

Try to plant in a location that enjoys full sun and remember to water moderately. Early pearl is generally regarded as a hardy plant, so it can be safe to leave outdoors for the majority of winter (although if in doubt, using a row cover is often a good idea). Early pearl needs a soil ph of 6.5 to 7.0 (weakly acidic soil - neutral soil).

Growing Early pearl from seed

Aim to sow 0.58 inches (1.5 cm) deep and try to ensure a gap of at least 3.12 inches (8.0 cm). For optimal germination, soil temperature should be a minimum of 24°C / 75°F.

By our calculations, you should look at sowing Early pearl about 14 days before your last frost date.

Transplanting Early pearl

Early pearl is hardy, so ensure you wait until all danger of frost has passed in your area before considering planting outside.
