How to grow Cabbage 'Primax'

  • Full Sun

  • Medium

Try to plant in a location that enjoys full sun and remember to water moderately. Keep in mind when planting that Primax is thought of as hardy, so this plant will grow or become dormant during the winter. A soil ph of between 6.0 and 7.5 is ideal for Primax as it does best in weakly acidic soil - weakly alkaline soil.

Growing Primax from seed

Sow at a depth of approx. 0.47 inches (1.2 cm) and aim for a distance of at least 3.12 inches (8.0 cm) between Cabbage plants. Soil temperature should be kept higher than 4°C / 39°F to ensure good germination.

By our calculations, you should look at sowing Primax about 45 days before your last frost date.

Transplanting Primax

As Primax is hardy, ensure temperatures are mild enough to plant out - wait until after your last frost date to be on the safe side.
