Plant in a location that enjoys full sun and remember to apply water fairly sparingly. Keep in mind when planting that Variegated is thought of as hardy, so this plant will survive close to or on freezing temperatures. Variegated requires a sandy, clay and loamy soil with a ph of 6.0 - 8.0 - it grows best in weakly acidic soil to weakly alkaline soil.
