Try to plant in a location that enjoys full sun and remember to apply water fairly sparingly. Gold ball is generally regarded as a hardy plant, so this plant will survive close to or on freezing temperatures. Gold ball needs a chalky and sandy soil with a ph of 6.0 to 7.2 (weakly acidic soil to weakly alkaline soil).

Seeds should be covered thinly, can use vermiculite. Keep them moist but not wet. Temperature 15-20C

Try to aim for a seed spacing of at least 9.75 inches (25.0 cm) and sow at a depth of around 0.12 inches (0.3 cm).
