Cucumber 'Futura'

Plant in a location that enjoys full sun and remember to water often. Keep in mind when planting that Futura is thought of as tender, so it is really important to ensure that the outside temperature is well above freezing before planting or moving outdoors. Futura requires a soil ph of 5.5 - 6.8 meaning it does best in weakly acidic soil.

Look to ensure a distance 11.7 inches (30.0 cm) between seeds when sowing - bury at a depth of at least 0.47 inches (1.2 cm) deep. Soil temperature should be kept higher than 16°C / 61°F to ensure good germination.

By our calculations, you should look at sowing Futura about 14 days after your last frost date.

Ensure that temperatures are mild and all chance of frost has passed before planting out, as Futura is a tender plant.

Expect harvests to start to occur in late spring.
