Ostrich fern 'Jumbo'

Fern may be propagated by transplanting underground runners in the spring.

Jumbo likes a position of dappled sun and remember to water often. Keep in mind when planting that Jumbo is thought of as very hardy, so this plant will survive though longer winters with little or no damage. Jumbo tends to grow best in a soil ph of between 5.0 and 6.5 meaning it does best in moderately acidic soil - weakly acidic soil.

Ensure that temperatures are mild and all chance of frost has passed before planting out, as Jumbo is a very hardy plant.
