Tomatillo 'Mexican Strain'

Mexican Strain likes a position of full sun and remember to water often. Keep in mind when planting that Mexican Strain is thought of as tender, so remember to wait until your soil is warm and the night time temperature is well above freezing before moving outside. Ideally plant in loamy soil and try to keep the ph of your soil between the range of 6.0 and 7.0 as Mexican Strain likes to be in weakly acidic soil to neutral soil.

Start indoors as you would tomatoes. Growing tips are the same. Direct sowing outdoors is not recommended.

Sow 0.58 inches (1.5 cm) deep with a guideline distance of 2.47 feet (76.0 cm). Soil temperature should be kept higher than 24°C / 75°F to ensure good germination.

Ensure that temperatures are mild and all chance of frost has passed before planting out, as Mexican Strain is a tender plant.
