Runner bean 'Flare'

Flare likes a position of full sun and remember to water moderately. Keep in mind when planting that Flare is thought of as tender, so it is really important to ensure that the outside temperature is well above freezing before planting or moving outdoors. Flare needs a loamy and clay soil with a ph of 6.0 to 6.8 (weakly acidic soil).

Look to ensure a distance 3.9 inches (10.0 cm) between seeds when sowing - bury at a depth of at least 1.95 inches (5.0 cm) deep. Soil temperature should be kept higher than 16°C / 61°F to ensure good germination.

Ensure that temperatures are mild and all chance of frost has passed before planting out, as Flare is a tender plant.
