This plant is not very tolerant shade.

Plant in a location that enjoys partial sun and remember to water moderately. Keep in mind when planting that Deep Secret is thought of as hardy, so this plant will survive close to or on freezing temperatures. Deep Secret requires a loamy soil with a ph of 4.5 - 8.0 - it grows best in moderately acidic soil to weakly alkaline soil.

Can be kept in large pot.

Ensure that temperatures are mild and all chance of frost has passed before planting out, as Deep Secret is a hardy plant.
